Eden Resort Spa on Beruwela beach
is a beautiful 5 star hotel owned by Confifi Hotels on the South Coast of the tropical island of Sri Lana. In accordance with our “Stay
overnight at and inspect before recommending” hotel review policy, it was last inspected
by our UK directors on 12 December 2009.
All the images used on Eden Resort Spa Com, as with all our
Sri Lanka travel sites, were taken by ourselves during this latest
and earlier annual hotel review visits in December 2008, 2007 and December
2005 so you can see the hotel exactly as another tourist would. Often
100 plus room hotels of this size present as cement jungles but Eden is an
inspired creation of stunning beauty. Our fiercely independent hotel
reviews are often critical but we have
no hesitation in personally recommending Eden Resort Spa as one of the
finest, well maintained and professionally managed of South Coast beach hotels.
Eden Hotel offers a wide range of accommodation in five categories :

Eden Penthouses
each of which is sited at the two corners atop the hotel with even more stunning views of the beach. The Paradise Floor on the top 3rd Floor accommodates
• Paradise Suites
• Paradise Deluxe Rooms
Eden Penthouse and beautifully designed Paradise Suites are
furnished with teak floors and four poster beds. Their balconies
offer
superb balcony views over the pool and the beach.
The outstanding feature of the Eden Hotel setting is the mammoth swimming pool. The rooms in the two wings look over the pool with its Jacuzzis, bridges and
sunken pool bars.. The sunsets here over the golden sands of
Beruwela beach are amongst the most stunning on the south coast.
The
rooftop Penthouse Suites
offer top end luxury Beruwela Beach Hotel accommodation. The
Suites and
Deluxe Rooms on the
Paradise top floor, where we have stayed, are some of the finest in Lanka, not only in
spaciousness and creature comfort but also in taste and
furnishing. The twin bedded standard rooms, also teak floored, to us are
as their name correctly implies standard when compared to the
four poster bedded superior
rooms described.
Eden offers an equally wide range of dining areas. The main dining room called the Garden of Eden has wide windows fronting onto the waters of the pool. Delightful is the teak floored Captain’s deck fronting onto the pool. For fish lovers the pavilion offers a an la carte fish market. The
Signature
fine dining restaurant on the upper floors offers the spectacle of a walk in bar as well as tables on the deck overlooking the pool.
